EADS is one of the world’s leading space companies, with extensive prime contractor experience in space transportation, orbital systems, satellites, telecommunications and satellite services.
Astrium North America serves America’s civil space flight market, supporting the development of vehicles, equipment and services necessary to maintain and extend human presence in space. Key programs with Astrium North America involvement include the International Space Station Program and the Space Transportation System.
In close coordination with its European parent, Astrium GmbH, works with customers and suppliers to identify unique European technology and products that can be adapted to enhance space programs.
An important part of the Astrium North America strategy is to cooperatively develop products with U.S. partner companies and deploy them as turnkey service offerings that minimize lifecycle costs. Additionally, the U.S. staff provides government and industry relations for EADS Space in the U.S., including technical procurement, export control issue support, research and business guidance.
